• In software there are already four parameter of dimension is default set, the user can according to its requirement can change the parameter from Configuration settings.
• Dimensions provide structured labeling information to otherwise unordered numeric measures,the primary functions of dimensions are threefold: to provide filtering, grouping and labelling.
• Dimension is also necessary while creating article master and also placing the purchase Order.
• Suppose you are purchasing an article from Supplier so how would you mention the characterstatic property of that item,for this requirement of Dimension is necessary
• However in software there are already four default parameters i.e Color,Size, Style & Brand are created but you can add parameter as per your requirement.
• The following are the default parameter in the software

Color:

Color is inherited from dimension in this software, basically we use color to differentiate one item from another on the basis of color property.

Suppose you want to order three different items from supplier during purchase but how could this possible to differentiation between that three article or item ,it might be only possible when you know the color of that item.

Color not only play an imporatnt role in differentiation but also identification.

Size:

The physical dimensions, proportions, magnitude, or extent of an object.

Any of a series of graduated categories of dimension whereby manufactured articles, such as shoes and clothing, are classified.

Suppose you want to order three different items from supplier during purchase but how could this possible to differentiation between these three article it may be due to the articles or Items Dimensions and magnitude ,it might be only possible when you know the Size of that item.

Size not only play an important role in differentiation but also identification.

Style:

It is also a default parameter in the software is used for fashion terms with clothings

It is used for filtering and also for label printing on the item

Brand:

A type of product manufactured by a particular company under a particular name.

Example: Suppose jeans have various type of brand levis and killer jeans etc

It is used for filtering and also for label printing on the item

• Change the default parameter
• Add New Parameter xyz
• Edit New Parameter xyz
• How to Assign the these parameter with article

Add New Parameter:

Click On Inventory from menu bar.

Select Dimension then click on the Parameter1.

Now,Suppose parameter1 is Xyz then Xyz Grid Page will get open up.

Now select on Add new Xyz from Tasks.

Now, Xyz Master page will get Open.

First,Specify Xyz name and if necessary specify its Extended description and Short name.

Tick on the active status.

Click Save.

Edit the existing Parameter:

Click On Inventory from menu bar.

Select Dimension then click on the Parameter1.

Now,Suppose parameter1 is Xyz then Xyz Grid Page will get open up.

Select the list from table to edit and then click on Edit the existing from Tasks.

Xyz Master page will get Open.

Edit the Field which you want to modify.

Tick on the active status.

Click Save.
